Volunteering with Natural Resources SA MDB

Local Action Planning (LAP) Groups

The LAP Groups in the region play a key role in supporting local volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for a LAP or speaking to them about other NRM volunteering opportunities in their local area, visit the LAP page.

Community NRM Centres

Volunteering opportunities also exist with the region’s community NRM centres – the Mt Pleasant Natural Resources Centre, the Strathalbyn Natural Resources Centre and the Lakes Hubs at Milang and Meningie.

NRM Community Volunteer Groups

There are a number of Community Volunteer Groups that operate within the SA Murray-Darling Basin region. These groups are involved in a range of NRM activities including revegetation, bushcare, sustainable farming, wetland management and various monitoring activities. Landcare groups

Landcare groups are involved in a range of NRM activities and are often interested in new volunteers joining their group and their projects. For a list of Landcare groups in the region visit the Landcare Australia website.

Wetland groups

Bush for Life

Bush for Life volunteers focus on the management of remnant native vegetation. For more information on becoming a Bush for Life volunteer visit their website.

Friends of Parks

Opportunities for visiting/Adelaide based volunteers

Just because you don't live in the Region doesn't mean you can't play your part in helping to protect it! We are as close as 20 minutes drive from Adelaide.
